'Secret Garden' marks Oh My Girl's successful comeback

After nine months, K-pop girl group returned with a brand new extended play (EP). Titled "Secret Garden," the sixth EP of the seven-member group did well on real-time charts after its release on January 9, 2018.

On January 10, 2018, the title track of the EP ranked number 2 on the real-time charts of Genie, Naver, Soribada and South Korea's largest music site, Melon. The only song that kept it from topping the charts was "Good Old Days" by vocal group Jang Deok Cheol.

Aside from its title track, the "Secret Garden" EP has four other songs namely, "Love O'Clock," "Butterfly," "Sixteen" and "Magic." Oh My Girl member Kim Mi-hyun, whose stage name is Mimi, co-wrote "Butterfly" with Junebug and "Magic" with maFly and ZNEE.

The other six members of Oh My Girl are Choi Ye-won, Bae Yu-bin, Choi Hyo-jung, Kim Ji-ho, Hyun Seung-hee and Yoo Shi-ah, who are respectively known as Arin, Binnie, Hyojung, Jiho, Seunghee and YooA. The group was launched by WV Entertainment on April 21, 2015.

Upon the release of the "Secret Garden" EP, Oh My Girl performed the title track for the first time and was broadcast on V Live. Mimi, Arin, Binnie, Hyojung, Jiho, Seunghee and YooA wore white dresses during the performance.

Oh My Girl's self-titled debut EP and second EP titled "Closer" were released in 2015. The third one titled "Pink Ocean" and the fourth one titled "Coloring Book" were released in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
