K-pop group miss A member Bae Su-ji, 23, who is
mononymously known as Suzy, recently starred in the SBS series “While You Were
Sleeping.” She played Nam Hong-joo, 29, a
journalist who can see in her dreams unfortunate events before they take place
in real life.
More than a month after “While You Were Sleeping” ended, fans of Suzy will see her on the cover of the January 2018 issue of InStyle.
Her photo shoot for the fashion magazine took place in Adelaide, South
Australia.
After the photo shoot, Suzy talked about acting
in her interview with the publication. For her, being natural is the way to go
so she does not like going over the top.
When Suzy started out acting, she was told that
her acting style was bland or flat. She pointed out that as a person, she reacts
a certain way whenever she is happy or sad.
But as an actor, it is necessary to overdo things
in order to show the audience the emotions of the character, Suzy said. For
her, it is not easy to do this kind of acting.
On “While You Were Sleeping,” Suzy’s character
becomes neighbors with Jung Jae-chan (Lee Jong-suk), 29, a rookie
prosecutor who also has the ability to see in his dreams unfortunate
events before they happen.
On Dec. 6-8, Jong-suk was in Japan to attend
fan meetings. During these events, he talked about how he became fonder of his
previous works including “School 2013” and “I Hear Your Voice,” according to Sports Donga.
Jong-suk believes that his acting is better in
his more recent drama series. However, he pointed out that the affection he has
for his earlier works is different.
Among
Suzy and Jong-suk’s “While You Were Sleeping” co-actors were Lee Sang-yeob,
Jung Hae-in and Ko Sung-hee. Meanwhile, watch the music video of Suzy’s song “Yes
No Maybe” here:
