MXM duo Im Young-min, Kim Dong-hyun featured in Deezer’s Football Fever channel

Collaboratively known as the MXM duo, Brand New Boys members Im Young-min and Kim Dong-hyun are featured by the new Football Fever channel of global music streaming service Deezer. This is to celebrate the 21st FIFA World Cup, which is taking place in Russia from June 14, 2018 to July 15, 2018.  Deezer is hosting exclusive playlists created by musicians from each of the 32 countries partaking in the world’s largest football competition. Representing South Korea are Im and Kim, who both participated in "Produce 101" Season 2. Each artist’s playlist will also champion a wide variety of their local genres. BTS album ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ release date announced

Big Hit Entertainment has confirmed the release date of “Love Yourself: Tear,” the third Korean-language studio album of K-pop boy band BTS. The track listing has yet to be unveiled but the album reportedly has a song titled “Fake Love.” “Love Yourself: Tear” will be released on May 18, 2018 as digital download worldwide and as CD and digital download in South Korea. It is a follow-up for the BTS album “Love Yourself: Her,” which was released in 2017. On April 5, 2018, BTS released a short film titled “Euphoria: Theme of Love Yourself Wonder” featuring a “Euphoria,” a solo song recorded by Jungkook and produced by  RM, DJ Swivel , Candace Nicole Sosa,  Melanie Fontana ,  Bang Si-hyuk , Supreme Boi, Adora, and BTS leader  RM. 'Season of GFriend,' GFriend's first ever Asian solo tour to kick off in Taiwan

GFriend ( Twitter/ 여자친구 GFriend ) K-pop girl group GFriend is about to have its first ever Asian solo tour. Titled "Season of GFriend," the series of concerts will start in Taipei, Taiwan on February 28, 2018. GFriend confirmed this on January 10, 2018. The girl group tweeted the posters of the tour. After Taiwan, GFriend will go to Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan for "Season of GFriend." The dates of the concerts in these countries have yet to be announced. Source Music formed GFriend in 2015 with six members namely Kim So-jung, Jung Ye-rin, Jung Eun-bi, Choi Yu-na, Hwang Eun-bi and Kim Ye-won. They are professionally known as Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB and Umji, respectively. Since 2015, GFriend has released five EPs and one studio album. The EPs are titled "Season of Glass," "Flower Bud," "Snowflake," "The Awakening" and "Parallel" while the debut studio album is titled "LOL."

2018 Music Bank World Tour performers: TWICE, CNBLUE, B.A.P., VIXX, Wanna One

2018 Music Bank World Tour ( Facebook/Yonhap News Agency ) Five K-pop groups are set to perform at the 2018 Music Bank World Tour, namely TWICE, CNBLUE, B.A.P., VIXX and Wanna One. Hosted by Park Bo-gum, the 12th edition of the worldwide live concert tour by the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) will take place at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile on March 23, 2018. TWICE is the only K-pop girl group in the line-up. Formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015 through the reality show “Sixteen,” its nine members are Im Na-yeon, Yoo Kyung-wan, Hirai Momo, Minatozaki Sana, Park Ji Soo, Myoui Mina, Kim Da-hyun, Son Chae-young and Chou Tzu Yu whose respective stage names are Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu. Formed in 2009, CNBLUE is the oldest group in the lineup. Its four members namely Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jong-hyun, Kang Min-hyuk and Lee Jung-shin. The member of the K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation was nominated as Best Newcomer in the 12 th edition of the annual awards ceremony. For her role as Park Min-young in “Confidential Assignment,” Yoona won the Popularity Award in the actress category in the inaugural The Seoul Awards. She also won Best Popular Asian Actress in the inaugural Marianas International Film Festival. For the same role, Yoon won the Newcomer Award at the third Korean Film Shining Star Awards, the Rising Star Award at the 22 nd Busan International Film Festival and the Most Popular Actress Award under the film category of the 53 rd Baeksang Arts Awards. SHINee concert in Japan confirmed weeks after Jonghyun's death

SHINee [ Facebook/샤이니(SHINee) ] After the death of Kim Jong-hyun, whose stage name is Jonghyun, SHINee is now a quartet. The four members Lee Jin-ki, Kim Ki-bum, Choi Min-ho and Lee Tae-min, whose respective stage names are Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin, have confirmed their concerts in Japan in February 2018. Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin shared handwritten letters to the official website of SHINee. In the letters, they talked about their decision to do the planned shows in Japan despite the recent loss of one member to suicide.  The decision is something that Jonghyun would want from the remaining SHINee members, Key explained. 'Secret Garden' marks Oh My Girl's successful comeback

Oh My Girl ( Facebook/Oh My Girl ) After nine months, K-pop girl group returned with a brand new extended play (EP). Titled "Secret Garden," the sixth EP of the seven-member group did well on real-time charts after its release on January 9, 2018. On January 10, 2018, the title track of the EP ranked number 2 on the real-time charts of Genie, Naver, Soribada and South Korea's largest music site, Melon. The only song that kept it from topping the charts was "Good Old Days" by vocal group Jang Deok Cheol. Aside from its title track, the "Secret Garden" EP has four other songs namely, "Love O'Clock," "Butterfly," "Sixteen" and "Magic."
